and just a quick mention to some new friends at a brilliant music distributor if youre based in the north of our dear land: we have just ordered our new mixing desk for the theatre (Allen&Heath Z436), and have just had the most brilliant service from The Production Room in Leeds.

Id not used them before, but their customer service has been exceptional. they got in a desk to demo at the shop within 48hrs, they let me sit and twiddle for a good couple of hours, we got COFFEE!!!!!!!!! (honestly, when has that EVER happened at a music shop to you???) and they answered questions honestly, intelligently and without any pressure.

we are also looking for a new studio 88key piano/controller and Andy and Mark were both brilliant to talk to with a wealth of honest product knowledge. Again, we must have played with keyboards for over an hour and a half and there was never any sense of hurrying along.
